New Year’s Eve Make-up Trends
The last night of the year is full of magic. Whatever make-up we prefer every day, all tricks are allowed on New Year's Eve. Neon colors, glitter, metallics – we are only limited by our own imagination. Of course, it would be good to decide what will be the main focus of our styling – makeup or outfit – so that one does not compete with the other, nor completely overshadow it, but complements each other. Nevertheless, no matter what look you choose, it's worth getting inspired by one of the trends below to make you look stunning and trendy during the New Year's Eve party!
Bet on eyeliner
A properly created winged liner opens the eye and gives character. We are accustomed to black (or, eventually, brown), but try to experiment on New Year's Eve! A flick made with a metallic or neon eyeliner will look great – then the rest of the eye make-up can be done with neutral, delicate eye shadows. If we particularly like sparkles, it is worth sticking tiny rhinestones to the classic, black line with eyelash glue – the wow effect is guaranteed!
Classic red
Red lips are a seemingly trivial and trite subject. However, despite everything, it is a timeless trend in make-up, which adds elegance and suits virtually any circumstances. If you choose red color for the New Year's Eve party, it is worth betting on liquid matt lipstick. Thanks to that you won't have to worry about the fact that lipstick will get smeared on lips (while eating or drinking) or on your teeth later. The teeth can be optically whitened if we choose lipstick with a cool, blue tone.
A bit of color
Many make-up artists emphasize that applying a white or nude eyeliner to the lower waterline opens and enlarges the eye. However, on this special night, let's not limit ourselves to these options! There are products in all colors of the rainbow and in different shades on the market – from pastel to neon ones, so the possibilities are endless. The chosen color can be dragged onto the lower eyelid, combined with a line or left as an accent while the rest of the makeup can be done with neutral shades.
All that glitters IS gold!
Can anyone at all imagine the New Year's Eve look without even a bit of flash? We definitely can't! Let's not be afraid to take glitter eye shadows out of the make-up bag and use them in classic smokey eye or crazy cut crease with a bit of holo! The best results will be given by pressed pigments, just pat them with your finger into the base. We can use an ordinary base for eye shadows, but it is even better to reach for the one intended for glitter, because it is more sticky and has greater adhesion.
Make-up straight from the casket
Recently, jewel tones, namely colors inspired by precious and semi-precious stones, have been triumphant both in make-up and fashion. If you decide on a classic little black dress, a smokey eye in emerald green or amethyst violet shades will look beautiful. Bold woman may opt for a monochromatic look, which is maintained in one color, but in different shades. This look is sure to make a big impression!
We hope that during this New Year's Eve you'll have fun and drink champagne until dawn, and with our advice you'll dazzle everyone with your make-up!
