#imstayingathome – A Relaxing Spa-Like Bath!
Work, personal issues, and recently also overload of negative information make us feel tired, stressed and tense. Such state not only lowers our effectiveness but also affects our focus and leads to potential health problems — insomnia, fluctuations in blood pressure or muscle pains. One of the best ways to relax our body and give ourselves a moment of peace is a stress-relieving bath.
Even though nowadays most of us do not have the opportunity to go to a spa or massage salon, we can always prepare a fragrant, de-stressing bath at home! Here are a few tips how to do it:
- Warm, but not too warm!
Fill the bathtub with water. Warm water will relax tense muscles and improve blood circulation in the entire body. However, the water should not be too warm, or it will cause dizziness and faintness!
- Wrap yourself in softness
Prepare your favorite, fluffy bathrobe and comfortable slippers, and place them near your tub. This way you will be able to quickly wrap yourself in comfortable softness after getting out of the water.
- Take care of the atmosphere
Make a playlist of your favorite, relaxing songs. Jazz, bossa nova, blues, pop – genre does not matter. Choose the sounds that will help you forget for a moment about all your problems and responsibilities. If you like, you can also place a few candles in the bathroom (just do not overdo it, especially if your bathroom is small) and put a handful of rose petals to the bathwater. Such bath will be a true feast for the senses!
- A pinch of fragrant magic
While laying in a tub, it is worth to take care of our skin by adding a properly selected bath salt to the water. QUIN Bath Salt contains ions of calcium, magnesium, bromide, iodide, as well as collagen, which provide regeneration, softness and firmness to the skin. The product is available in four relaxing scents: lavender, orange, grapefruit and apple.
And those of you who prefer a fizzy skin care, we encourage to make a DIY bath bomb. The addition of lavender oil will relax the senses and have a beneficial effect on the skin and hair, whereas olive oil will provide moisturization and regeneration.
Ingredients:
- 200 g baking soda
- 100 g citric acid
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 drops lavender essential oil
- 2 teaspoons dried lavender
Combine the ingredients and mix thoroughly. Pour the mixture into a form (if you do not have a ball silicone mold, use ice cube tray) and leave for 12 hours. Pop into the bathtub filled with lukewarm water.
- Maximum smoothness
In order to make our skin silky and radiant, we should not forget about regular scrubbing, thanks to which we will be able to remove the dead skin cells. QUIN Oil Scrubs contain a natural abrasive material – grounded coconut shells — which gently, yet effectively exfoliate the dead skin cells and smooth out the skin. The formulas of the products also include a unique complex composed of three oils (castor, peach and avocado) that exhibit oiling and softening properties. To people with dry and sensitive skin, we recommend our Oil Salt Body Scrub, whereas to those with oily and combination skin, we have Oil Sugar Body Scrub.
- Body lotion crowns the relaxing bath ritual
After a finished bath, it is time for a body lotion that will prevent transepidermal water loss and make the moisturizing action of the scrub stronger and longer-lasting. We recommend QUIN Body Lotion Macadamia, which thanks to its very rich composition (Shea butter, glycerin, almond oil, coconut oil, grapeseed oil and vitamin E) effectively supplements the lipid layer of the skin, softens, protects and normalizes the epidermis, improving its elasticity.
